See that's the problem -"my" people, "your" people. Why must you think in terms of "us" versus "them"? Of course there are problems in my country, but the extremities of human rights abuses within Iran markedly dwarf any other country's misdeeds by comparison. So comparing the two is wildly erroneous. Why are you defending Ahmadinejad? Why would anyone support or defend a leader who would egregiously authorize such atrocities?

I am not supporting or defending him. I do not know him personally or understand persian language. But when a person and that is any person says something true it has to respected. As for the human rights violations, they are of course everywhere and when the developed countries try to 'bring to justice' others like Iran they are being Hypocrites since they don't bring their own deeds to attention. Its always the people on their other side that are pure evil, while 'we' are pure good. WHY?

Ahmadinejad is polite and academic when speaking to a western audience. In Iran however, he is a demagogue stirring up the crowds. Its obvious.

MatrixOfDynamism- its probably a good thing that those sort of voices aren't amplified.

I agree with you but what I want to say is that the voice of those people that are extremists should not be shown as the view of the whole muslim world

MatrixOfDynamism- Absolutely. It would be stupid for people to presume that 1.3 billion people are all terrorists and fanatics. Within Islam, Wabbabist and Salafist Islamism tends to be where the extremist form is exposed but many normal muslims hate this sort of Islamism. The media should report extremism but it should also report the moderate side of Islam a bit more.
