the song is "Local Boys" by Na Leo and so ok, these are not really local boys of Hawaii, it's actually the offensive line for their football team but some of the girls are local and it was all for fun! And yes, eye candy for both boys and girls. Enjoy!

sooooooooo cute. I remember when this song first came out had so much pilikea (problems) people said was racist.. lol it got compaired to the Beach Boys 'California Girls' but it finaly died off and the song won out. Just a good fun and oh so true song for the wahines of Hawaii... I love how Na Leo Pilimehana has grown and taken their place in the music world. (eh? wen dis song came out anyways?? like 1977? '78?)

sorry for late response! but ya, it was late 70's when they won Brown Bags with this song! and i remember all that stuff about the song. had plenty back and forth mad kine people writing articles in the Advertiser! hehe! but this song deserves play for the local girls! you can love those local boys! as for me... i love those local girls! woo tah!

Very cute! I'm just start off in Hula too. Sometimes the moves can be confusing but I'm having a ball. I'm happy my kuma hula is really nice and patience and not uptight like some folks who post here.

eh right on, our of respect atleast they adore our culture, us as local boys here on hawaii usually dont like when haole guys dance to our music, but i for one see it asa sort of envy thing, how beautiful the way of life is here on the island.. we might as well let da haoles taste our happyness considering they look so angry up there. so to da haoles n popolo's, take it learn it love it just dont disrespect it. alohaz
