Money. I'm on the east coast and it can be expensive. My tent died last year in a wind storm, or more accurately it was murdered by a windstorm.

Make sure you read the first time guide. It tells you what to bring and not to bring...drink lots of water and bring little gifts for people. There is no sell or buy. The only thing you will be able to buy is ICE, Coffee, tea. The rest of it is up-to-you

Go the entire week. This will be year #6 for me! The beginning of the week is much more mellow and the class of people are outstanding. The last couple of days are great but you will find there will be a group here and there who just rolled in to get wasted and are only out for themselves. Have fun!!!

You are going to have so much fun I can tell. I camp with a theme camp and it's the best in terms of community, location and the collective party spirit that is sustained all week long. I've been 04, 06, 07,and this will be my fourth year. Please don't forget to take a bike, it's a huge city. If I see you I'll give you a little pinch to let you know you are not dreaming....you made it have a safe and blessed time.

Sadly, I did not. I couldn't go because the person I was going with ended up not being able to go. I don't feel this is something I should go to alone (yet). Why did you miss it this year?

If you go to Burning Man, it will be a MAJOR turning point in your life, an AWAKENING like you cannot even imagine....you may be overwhelmed so expect it. GO! Trust!
