A great addition for any Star Trek fan! I bought this and am very impressed with the performance of this unit.
After a long day at Starfleet Academy, you don't want to stumble through a dark room, feeling your way for that lamp or light switch. But with the Star Trek Voice Operated Dimmer, you can instruct the Federation Computer to turn on a lamp at any of three brightness levels (or turn it off) — all with simple verbal commands. It's like actually being on the U.S.S. Enterprise bridge! Set-up takes just a few minutes. The module will even guide you through the process.

  • Been a while since this was uploaded, but you can actually purchase them at the official website of VOSS SYSTEMS, the makers of this device.

    vossystems . com/products.htm

Just an FYI though, the site looks a little dated, so whether or not it works, is upto you to try. I don't need one of these, but found it online for everyone asking.

  • @benjiTUTS Good catch I never saw it there before. And at a good price. I tried to buy another one and when I clicked on "add to cart" I got "vossystems" is not a recognized account. I guess the only place is still ebay.

  • These things are really cool!

Sadly they are all very sensitive when it comes to the current. Some outlets will cause the interface to go into an endless loop, easy fix tho, just unplug it and plug it into another one!

  • @antivirus347 Yes I can attest to this as well. It happened to me with the one in the video. I unplugged it and tried another outlet and it worked. I have used it since the original time that I posted this video and it still works fine. I use it every day and people really love it.

  • Is there any way to purchase this product? I have looked all over and it seems to be discontinued. I would appreciate any help in locating this product so I can buy it. E-Bay was no help at all.

  • @P54cause There's one on ebay right now. I wrote the guy and he said he has owned a couple of them. I see one on ebay about every 6 months.

  • would you be willing to sell this or know where i can find one. cant find it on ebay. I can send you a secure payment on paypal right this second for it. please let me know. thanks

  • @heartoutofhell when i was an electrician in the navy, they taught us to wire outlets like this. that way, if water leaked in from somewhere it would make contact with the ground first, usually popping the breaker, and preventing anyone standing in water from getting electrocuted.

  • @heartoutofhell Wow that makes sense. There was probably a fire due to a freakish accident like that somewhere in Canada. I just wish the manufacturers would comply and reverse everything as well.
