  • they are not showing even 50 % of their skill's

  • @SOVIETIZATION

each presentation of kung fu is only a small percentage of what kung fu really is...

  • I think kung fu is the oldest art that already existed and I live it today.

  • I don't like that they call Kung Fu fighters "killers" We practice kung fu for discipline, strength, and defense, not to unintentionally kill

  • right! but, this video show the weapons, and weapons are created for kill. All scenes of this clip come from the National Geographic.

  • ¿whats the music name?

  • What's the music name?

  • Kung Fu was first created to express one's self fully and completely.

  • havin a weapon is onething and for what is it used is another thing....possesing a weapon does not necessarily make someone a killer and in this same program u can c that in shaloin temples they do not use real weapons, they use normal household objects as weapons

true, but think of style like tai chi, that its self is older than the shaolin and is a form of kung fu. much of shaolin is based of arts and not its own, if you notice that the shaolin kung fu is not really unique in its self, its a mix of various things, not like tai chi or bagua where you can tell by looking but anyone could do a shaolin form and come up with loads of ideas what the style could be. thier training is there own but not the martial styles.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi However the Shaolin style of wushu is regarded as amongst the first institutionalized Chinese martial arts. The oldest evidence of Shaolin participation in combat is a stele from 728 CE that attests to two occasions: a defense of the Shaolin Monastery from bandits around 610 CE, and their subsequent role in the defeat of Wang Shichong at the Battle of Hulao in 621 CE.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi One of his main opponents was Chi You who was credited as the creator of jiao di, a forerunner to the modern art of Chinese Wrestling.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi Yes you are right when you say Shaolin didnt make the art on their own. According to legend, Chinese martial arts originated during the semi-mythical Xia Dynasty more than 4,000 years ago. It is said the Yellow Emperor Huangdi (legendary date of ascension 2698 BCE) introduced the earliest fighting systems to China. The Yellow Emperor is described as a famous general who, before becoming China’s leader, wrote lengthy treatises on medicine, astrology and the martial arts.
