  • that happend to my dads mac what did you do to have it fixed?

  • It hasn't been fixed.

  • ACTUALLY, it's very possible that it's because you installed 3rd Party RAM...

    Don't blame Apple for it.

  • No, it isn't. I did not install 3rd party RAM. This problem is well documented in the Apple support forums. Don't talk out of your ass.

  • I suppose you still haven't gotten it fixed, since you're in such a bad mood.

I wouldn't see why this isn't covered in the warranty. Have you tried taking it in to Apple?

  • I've had it replaced. All signs seem to point to a software issue.

  • @kbhasikevin

PCs are garbage and have 400 viruses. thanks

  • @Changderson UPDATE Using the long wire only helps the body feeling static. When I connect or disconnect in my cooling pad it can kill the screen signal. Also the static is audible on my external speakers.

  • I had this same problem, but it happened when I touched the computer and my desk or changed a USB connection. My desk is metal. A small amount of static you can feel on the body is 'normal' I read but this seems pretty dodgey. It seems to have helped plugging it in using the wire adapter (rather that the direct plug which doesn't seem to have an earth connection). Anyone else having the same experience?

  • thanks for getting a mac. now get a pc.

  • My Mac Book pro 15' does flicker, but only the back light and its as annoying as your situation. Apple seems to like to brush this shit under the rug on their Forums.

  • damn dude that musta sucked
