The Darkstar

True Freestyle Versatility.

Refined For the rider ripping in the park, hitting natural kickers and taking tree runs all in a days ride, the Darkstar's twin --tip design and medium flex defines true freestyle versatility. Winning numerous board tests in 2007, the Darkstar is back and a freestyle power to be reckoned with. Hyper progressive sidecut and centered stance offer precise response and easy maneuverability while the Hybritaper Tip and Tail reduce swing weight and has the stability to power through any landing.

Tip tech: Hybritaper takes our current Hybritech Construction, and tapers out the core at the tip and tail to reduce the swing weight. We blend the tips from a cap into a thin sandwich removing the sidewall where you don't need it.

Shape: Twin Tip Hyper Progressive. Similar to a formula one car suspension, our Hyper Progressive sidecut allows for ultra fine adjustment at any speed and in any condition. An infinite number of different radius are blended together flawlessly from mellow in the tips, to more aggressive in the center. This sidecut mellows out the transitions leaving you with the most predictable, best all around riding board on the market.

Stance: Centered.

Core: W2. Three species of renewable wood are assembled to optimize strength, reduce weight and enhance damping without the addition of other materials.

Glass: Biax top/Biax base. Best performing all purpose glass for an easy performance ride.

Torsion Forks: Carbon Matrix I. Carbon has been extended to the very edge of the board for maximum power and pop combined with a fine tuned edge hold and torsional stability.

Base: 4000 Sintered 1. Fastest natural base material available.
2. Durable
3. Absorbs wax faster
4. Retains wax longer

Base Bevel: 1°

  • how about back counrty and like knee deep powder is it still gonna perform there?

  • @snowboarder992199 you can do it, but it ain't gonna be as fun as a true pow stick.... or even more all mountain geared board.

  • how is the 2010 do you know?

  • not much has really changed between last years and the 2010 Darlstar

  • how is this board going to reform when you take it out of the park and use the rest of the mountain?

  • very well, this board is a predictable flexing board that is super fun outside the park.

  • Hiyaaaa! Have you tried - fast abs magic (do a search on google)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my GF got ripped 6 pack abs and lost a truck load of of belly fat with it.

  • how about jibbing?

  • Got this as my first board, And I must say, I'm pretty happy with it.

  • selling this board for $175 in calgary, msg me.

  • The green 2009 model is 155

  • I ended up getting Burton co2's which are freeride bindings, but it was fantastic in the park, performed well in powder, moguls, steeps and groomers. I highly reccomend this board.
