friends, to me this is light classical singing at its absolute greatest...by the Taan Sen of our time.....at his prime and surrounded by the sophisticated music lovers of Lahore, the.city has produced the greatest singers of our century...almost all of them........from bare ghulam ali khan ( the Tan Sen of the previous generation), ustaad nusrat fateh ali khan, muhammad rafi.....mehdi hasan....noor jehan to ustaad salamat ali khan himself...the list goes on and on....long live ustaad ji...

@pristineex Yes he is singing in Raag "Sindhi Bhairavi".. It is another variation of the famous raag Bhairavi from the bhairavi scale. Bhairavi originated in persia and it might have roots from the middle east too.. the same scale is extensively used in spanish guitar music too..
