I think Guillermo Del Toro and Julie Taymor would have loved to direct this show, especially this particular episode. Guillermo loves the dark fantasy/horror elements and Julie loves the theatrical/festive elements. Besides the director who directed this episode well, I think Guillermo and Julie would have done great directing it! Costumes, masks, and puppets, plus the "horror of losing your face" are right up Julie and Guillermo's alley. They're my favorite, inspiring directors!
