The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights list of key suspected post-election violence perpetrators is eliciting sharp reactions across the political divide. Prime minister Raila Odinga has rubbished the report and cabinet minister Najib Balala is contemplating legal actions. The prime minister took issue with the commission for mentioning politicians names without what he termed, any proper evidence.
Fonzy78: Kenya isnt Zimbabwe YET its PresObama of Kenya who signed EVIL RACIST Bill on 6March09 that strangles the ECONOMY of Zimbabwe! Get it? For as long as Pres Obama of Kenya African origin EXTENDS EVIL sanctions that were crafted by Bill Clinton, imposed on Zimbabwe by GW Bush, & sigend by Pres Obama on 6March09, there will always be that reference to COMPARE & CONTRAST how he FAVORS KENYA'S CORRUPTION, & PUNISHES ZIMBAWE'S CORRUPTION! That is DOUBLE STANDARD, & will make him UNPOPULAR!

Kenya is not Zimbabwe and the two situations are very different. I support the Hague[ICC] process and it should be let to proceed eventhough it is not the ideal situation. Having said that however PEV was not ideal and therefore Hague is the only credible process. After the ICC has ben given the greenlight we should proceed with a local tribunal for the small perpetrators of the violence and then embark on a Truth Justice & Reconciliation Commission path. Kenya will emerge stronger from this.

You know what, I would welcome a degree of sanctions because the only thing that holds up most if not all of African administrations is intergovernmental 'aid' (which in many cases are just soft loans) from the West.
The governments are then accountable to the foreign donors rather than the local population. There are many other problems associated with this type of 'aid'. For example, the governments are then accountable to the foreign donors rather than the local population.

jamani waKenya why do we so easily take our eyes off the things that matter! once such thing that matters is how we can institutionalize truth, justice n reconciliation (all tenets of genuine peace) in the governance of Kenya! wether ur crazy about Raila, Ruto, Kibaki, Uhuru, Kalonzo etc is irrelevant to the challenge n if folk can finally comprehend this, Kenya will be well on her way. Otherwise ni kelele tu kama kawaida! - Naturally for wale walishaelewa, Aluta Continua!
