Please correct me if i'm wrong, isn't the *p* tag useless? Can't I just use a lot of *br /* tags? I'll get the same effect right?...

You can apply CSS styles to the *p* tag and it will apply to the contents of the *p* tag. This is not true for the *br* tag since it has no content.
