This is a little audio demo of two freeware VSTi synthesizers simulating the Roland JUPITER-6 (also known as JP-6) which was the little brother of the legendary JUPITER-8.
The first one is the GTG JP 7A.
There are already a few demos of this synth here on YouTube.
The second one is the EFM (ele4music) Jup-6.
The Jup-6 surprisingly doesn't have a chorus section. So I used the TAL (Togu Audio Line) CHORUS-60 in addition, which emulates the famous Roland/Boss analog chorus section that was used in so many synthesizers over the years (like for example Juno-6, Juno-60, Juno-106, JX-8P, JUPITER-6 etc.). It's actually a by-product of the TAL U-NO 60 (and 62) which I already made a demo about here on YouTube.
The following preset patches were used:
GTG JP 7A:
- VeloSync
EFM Jup-6:
- JP - Bass
- Brass 1
I added the CHORUS-60 (set to Mode 1) on both EFM patches.
The drums are samples from a Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-110.
The song was composed with the demo version of Image Line's FL Studio 9.
Some effects from FL Studio 9 were added (compressor on the drums, delay, reverb).

Nice! Which one do you actually prefer? I like the Jup-6 more than the GTG one.

@1314matt The JP 7A has better (and more) preset patches...a nice starting point for your own programming trials. The Jup-6 has a better looking GUI and it basically doesn't sound bad either. I like both.

@RetroRumble I still have the .dll and also a "VCD"-file (.dat) that came with it (probably for preset patches or something).
