Yeah, Wood Elves actually live in the Old World (Empire/Chaos pairing and further south west), there are no Wood Elves on Ulthuan. (In case you aren't a lore buff - my bad if you are)

There are - try breaking some barrels on the altdorf docks and you might be surprised what you find ;) - there's also the skaven tunnels / altdorf sewers and a few infested mines in the dwarf areas.

Well yeah - this is (was - since in the game the dark elves took it over) a high elf area and the elves here are pretty in touch with the wood and it's all spiritual and magical yeah. But the wood elves are connected to their forest in an intrinsic way the high elves will never understand.
