Okay, so in my intro to traditional 2D animation course this was my final project. Just a simple little animation. It could have looked better if I focused less on the effects... but I learned something important: I absolutely LOVE animating effects (smoke, explosions, etc). No, it's not sophisticated, but it was a fun. I was able to apply what I learned about animating explosions and put them to use digitally.
Check my videogame shoot 'em up concept demo to see similar effects drawn and animated in color and moving.

I need to add sound one of these days. That'd really make it more watchable...
awesome work
how do you do it?
i've recently been researching how to make japanese anime but none are posted
i've bought a book that has the materials but doesn't show you how use them and i'm not sure if it's done traditional or modern it's always something i want to try and give it a shot but first i'm practicing drawing manga and finishing up a manga fanfic and after i'm done with that i'll do a fanfic (professionally) animation but i'm not sure if i can do that thought i need help?
