Hard eggs,
hard eggs,
my loving you meant all the hard eggs!

@tavriadriver The original recording by Ted Weems Orchestra was this arrangement - straight rhumba. The co-writers of the song were livid.

Simply love it...it brings back good memories. Sounds just as good if not better than Ted Weems...Thanks Max for bringing it back.

@tavriadriver Not True!!! Ted Weems did it in the same rhumba beat....

Hello;
I heard it for the first time by Ted Weems and his orchestra, in a 1938 recording. That's where Max got it.On the Weems recording the whistling was done by Elmo Tanner.

FAB FAB Wonderful....Great Version of a great ols song!

@LeonArchtop Ah, thanks for that. I think most of Raabe's stuff is genuine 1930s transcriptions. And it shows.
-
@tavriadriver It's a transcription from Ted Weems 1938 version.

@thefabulousmark Raabe did the same type of thing with the Du Bist Mein Herz Allein. I don't think I liked it, but I listened over and over. This, too.
Written in 1931, but I bet this is the first time it's been set to a rumba! It rather suits it...
