  • How old is too old to go to medical school? I have two dreams in life. To serve in the Marine Corps and retire from the Marines, and to go to medical school and become a doctor. I plan on serving 20 years in the Marine Corps so by the time I retire I should be 40. Is that too old to go to medical school?

  • @FutureDoctorSam --May I respectfully suggest you check on your motives of service? If you are smart enough to be a doc, then get into med school and have your school paid by the military. Every branch would want you and as a doc with 20 years service you could retire a General. (Yes, I've seen it.) If you need to marine tough, then do that first for 4 years, and go to school next,.Again, if you are smart enough the military will pay med school in return for years. But do not wait until 40.

  • I am going to become a surgeon lol I am about to begin my junior year in college (I have not taken the MCATS) I am just curious to why you said someone that is going to be a surgeon should skip the first 2 videos.

I want to maybe gain some experience or an internship do you have any suggestions sir? currently i might try to work as an EMT , not sure if that would help me in medical school. what do you think? Thank you - im a guy on my sister's youtube account lol.

  • @cuteAsgirl --Brother or not, you have convinced me that I need to make a few pre-med tips videos. The short answer to your question is no, your time is better spent working with/for a professor in a medically related field.

  • "The first two videos are philosophical, so if you're going to be a surgeon, you can skip these 2." HaHa. Doctor humor!
