Civil engineers have a much higher starting salary than 12-15,000. Its more like 45,000 as a starting salary. I make 12,000 a year working at a hardware store part time.

civil engineers donnot design buildings they just calculate the structure ( amount of steel and concrete needed ) architects design buildings and all built environment ....and by the why the the pic of Sidney opera house ...that building is designed by jhon otzon ( 1:40 ) and his an architect not a civil engineer .....do ur research befor jumping into things

@razorjosh maybe you can't handle of being an architecture student so you shifted to another course,, do you know venustas, fermitas and utilitas,, it means beauty, stability and function,, architect always considered this three when they are designing a structure,, architects and engineers are allied professionand should work together,, but it all starts with the architects,,

@saldork2 architects, first of all, are not needed for humans to go on. They make things aeshtetically pleasing, but not for function. I changed majors from architecture once I found out there is no money in it. Architects don't design structure, function, purpose....just the bullshit on the outside that hipsters can talk about to impress their moms
