Well if it isn't those crazy australian cousins of mine!

In all honesty the 6.2/6.4 isn't a very good motor. Not really that much power per litre, overheats, and has fuel pump issues. The 6.5 duramax on the other hand is a whole nother kettle of fish. a great motor but expensive. Last i checked prices are aound 15k austrlian drive in/out and engineered for a 6.2 or 6.4. It's not money well spent in my opinion. epsecially on an 80 series where it would cost the same to buy a late model turbo diesel in pretty good condtion.

really there that bad for your gearbox? do you know how much a convertion is by any chance?

sounds tuff on ya mate

Friend has a 6.2 in land rover, gearbox killers!!
Toyotas have stronger gearboxes though.
Did u re gear it; the 6.2 max revs r pretty low? the 6.2 or 6.5 turbo would be good.
"dont u trust us?"
"not anymore!!"
lol!
Is that a v8 diesel conversion?
