Syria's main opposition group is pulling out of a series of international meetings in protest over the continuing violence in the country.

On Friday, dozens of people were killed following a missile strike in the city of Aleppo.

The Syrian National Coalition said Russia "bears moral and political responsibility" for supplying weapons to the Syrian regime. Al Jazeera's Nisreen El-Shamayleh reports.

LOL, Do you think Assad is realy moderate while freedom of speech is a crime to him. Read about Assad's Mafia family how the secret police in their service tortured and brutally murdered whoever criticized them or disagreed with their opinions. Read about the fascist Ba'th party how it didn't allow other parties to take part in the political activity in Syria. So much for moderately!

How do I know that most Syrians are against Assad or not? He still fighting his enemies for almost two years and he couldn't beat them, if they were normal terrorists, then Assad would have won long long time ago. The fighting spread across the country and Assad is not controling some parts of the country, if they were normal terrorists, then the fighting would be in limited areas not involving major cities and whole towns. Go and ask the refugees if they like Assad or not.

rebels are jihadists there is no freedom in Islam no matter who takes power but Assad is moderate that's the closest Syrians will get to freedom.

democracy is a joke these days I can overthrow and have 5 clones to run for office all are the same they will follow the same this is reality of democracy of today its 100% BS its either one or the other.

Even though most Syrians oppose Assad, they couldn't overthrow Assad because Russia, China, Iran, and Venezuela support the tyrent. So the rebels deserve outside help to make things fair.

The rebels aren't fighting Assad because of the fear of losing elections. Assad is using scorched-earth strategy. The rebels are defending themselves and their families from Assad's mad dogs. It's not only about democracy and dictatorship. It's not only a war between rebels and a government. It's a genocide.

You said it yourself, "blowing himself on an army checkpoint with a truck". That's mean the rebels use car bombs against the loyalists only not civilians.

well then that's the perfect opportunity to claim its Assad

if there was little support for Assad he would of been overthrown from the top now those lies you bring would only work if Assad was as stupid as Gaddafi in handling a crisis good thing Assad is smarter and doesnt deny there was no protesters

Assad already put reforms put by popular vote and elections is next year so whats the point of continuing? because they have fear that they are the minority and will not win so they fight instead

Then tell me what's worse? Using ballistic missiles against civilians or using car bombs against civilians? Your problem is that you ignore a lot of facts about Syria and it's political history. That's the problem with Assad's supporters especially the non-Syrians.

Of course the regime wouldn't use normal Syrian forces for car bombing but it would use people with civilian clothes to do their dirty work.

The rebels do car bombing only against the loyalists not civilians.
