Dr. Waleed AlGhaithy (Neurosurgery Residency Program, University of Ottawa), Dr. Khalid Aba-Alkhail (Cardiac Surgery Residency Program) and Dr. Ms. Manal Al-Saigh (same) have filed Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario complaints against the University of Ottawa and several officials.

A press conference was held on March 9, 2011, in the Rotunda of Tabaret Hall, University of Ottawa.

Leaked e-mails from the Chairman of Neurosurgery, Richard Moulton, and others conspiring to dismiss Dr. AlGaithy for making a previous complaint are now stored here:

  • that's Ottawa for you racists and racist politicians

  • now why would saudi nationals 9/11 be singled out? Bush loves them

  • Don't worry it's one step at a time and one success after another. We need to be patient but never let our rights gone with the winds.

  • I hope they win and win BIG. I hope People see the truth about these (residency training programs) and how badly we get treated and neglected. We continue to have no voice because we have no support system and a Saudi Bureau that is dysfunctional.

  • Racism is alive and well in all these hospitals and these programs through Saudi Arabia. canadia gets easy money and gets a bunch of (second class) doctors who have no rights in their eyes and thus we get treated like Shit and good luck complaining! I tried it and now these guys...

  • Well,

I am a Saudi doctor who was discharged from the QE2 Hospital here in Halifax after I was sexually assaulted on top of being discriminated against. I took my case to the human rights commission here in Halifax 4 years ago after I went to the police to report my assault...

    The outcome?

My human rights complaint was "Dismissed" by the commissioners and the police closed my case without telling me causing the human rights case to get dismissed due to lack of evidence.
