Unico Music Video

Unico Music Video - Unico is born different than most unicorns. He has the ability to make people happy wherever he goes. But the gods do not like this, and chose the West Wind to take Unico to the Mountain of Forgetfulness, where he will be forgotten forever. The West Wind can not do this to the little boy, and instead carries him from city to city to hide him, but Unico's happiness spreads from place to place and to the people he befriends, and so he is always destined to leave his friends behind as the West Wind helps him escape from the Gods.

This was a strange anime I saw when I was little. Where can you find the hero defeat the villian by asking him to be his friend and forgiving him?

It broke my heart how he kept losing his friends, over and over again...I swear, Japanese cartoonists seem to LIVE to rip their fans' hearts right out.

I loved the Fantastic Adventures of Unico So much as a kid.

I was so upset after I found out in High School that we had lost our copy of the film.

But re-watching it recently, I couldn't help but yell out "Deus ex Machina!" when I saw Unico transform into the majestic large Unicorn.

Even though I had that adult-ish revelation, I still enjoy the film... and look forward to sharing the DVDs (now available) with my nieces & nephews.
