Lenny White is a monster drummer - agree! I just saw them play their last stop in the US 2011. Lenny White was not featured at all. Very disappointing.
I saw them at the same place in the 70's and took my kid to see Lenny... Couldn't afford $150 seats and the sound was mud in the nosebleed seats.
Still, good vibes there and he like it a lot.

@Skidblanar yeah its kind of ironic about the "alternative rock" genre. it was called alternative rock in the 80s because it didn't meet up to the expectations of musical mainstream and a commercialism but NOW it is exactly that. it IS the mainstream and commercial music we see today. i hate alternative rock anyway. it definitely should not be labeled "alternative". more like ordinary pop rock bullshit

I like how the chorus makes a good example of how disco is still a valid style, in spite of its many sins. I especially like the way they tagged this section, towards the end, not just once, but twice and then how they gave it the big turn around, resulting in 4 even amounts of time (equaling 4 x the 4-measure-time of the chorus).

Oh man! I wore this record out back in the day, none of my neighborhood friends could get into this stuff. Hearing this now, it reminds me a little bit of Jungle Love by the Time. I wouldn't be surprised if they riffed off of this to come up with that song. Fantastic group. I saw them once with Roy Ayers and Santana, a total space out concert.
