Dryfly, if gays truly choose to be gay, then explain to me why there are many gay people who hate themeselves because of their orientation. Who want to commit suicide because they couldn't be straight. Being gay isn't a choice. The US was never quite normal either. We are a nation built off of misfits and people who protested common ideas. The US changes so often that there is no "normal" for us. Don't bring your close-minded behavior because you oppose gays. It makes you look immature.
