Blank Firing P.38 Replica

Video title and video are self explanatory, for the most part. The Pistol seen is not an authentic model, its one of those 'cheesily' made replicas designed ONLY to fire blanks (Good for people who don't have a pistols license) The gases and such are vented out the top (as seen) and there is practically no recoil. Still loud as hell though, the video doesn't give it ANY justice. Good for reenacting.

I am a Fallschirmjäger reenactor, I do not support Neo-Nazism or any other political groups similar to that, etc etc.

Well, the Kar98 was designed/made in 1898, and the kar98k was just the shortened WW2 version of the WW1 Kar98. The M48 was designed in 1948, after WW2. So, to answer your question, the M48 is a more modern version of the Kar98k.

The G98 Gewehr 98 WWI rifle foran the K98, as the K98 serires started with the K98 *little smaller then G98* K98A, and K98B, then The K98K which was developed in 1935 came out later then same year just in time to be ordered for the troops of WW2 Germany. But the statement about the M48 is 100% correct.
