robbery in Phnom Penh Cambodia in broad daylight

A mother and a son were trying to escape from three robbers when they were carrying approximately 100,000,000 Riels (30,000 US dollars) on their bike. The mother and the son ran into the crowded market expecting that the robbers would not chase further. But the robbers followed them and grabbed the money package and walked out of the market. The mother followed one of the robber to get her money back. During the scuffle, two robbers shot her death. She was shot three times, one in the stomach, another in the neck, and the last one in the head.

The police have not been able to arrest the robbers.

Correction: the mother was shot once in the chest, according to the Cambodia Daily. The other two shots missed. Police recovered 2 shell casings from the scene.

The kid is young, probably a lot younger than you are. He was in shock he didn't know what to do.They were threatening him and his mother. He's a young child, he's not a hero, think of all the fear that is running through him.
