Saying that there is a right way and a wrong way to scream is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Maybe saying there is a way to make it hurt less, but if you are afraid of the pain then you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

@meacrazydrummer yeah i know how to scream, i've been doing it for years. ask any one who sings or screams what happens if they use their voice at full power for a long time without rest. it gets tired. thats obvious. when it gets tired its vulnerable to damage. almost all vocal techniques use your vocal cords. you cant make a sound with your diaphragm its just an air pump. hardcore vocals require more diaphragm pressure on the vocal cords which is why they tire faster. sorry to say :P

@KrustytheKiller do you even know how to scream? There's two types of screaming, one using your vocals, or two using your diaphram. Vocal screams are most commonly found in metal genres whereas the other screams in hardcore genres. I was pointing my instructions to hardcore genres where it doens't harm your vocals at all. i've been screaming for years, and so have my friends, and their vocals have been completely fine. My choir voice is still in tact so your theory is wrong. Sorry to say.
