Kiko techniques are Okinawan exercises used in "old style" karate. They are essentially the Ryukyu version of Qi-gong (chi-gung).

Ekkin-kiko (tendon-change) and Senzui-kiko (marrow-washing) are the basis of the Okinawan variants of "Iron Shirt" and "Golden Bell Cover" training.

This demonstration shows some of the the results of this training allowing one to painlessly absorb full power blows to vital areas without even the slightest damage.

  • damn..you are great *thumbsup..

    very nice video..

can you tell me how many years it takes to practice that?

  • @alexjong89

Traditionally it is said to take 2-3 years. However, I was experimenting with taking full power blows way before 2 years. Everyone is different but I got good results very quickly.

  • @alexjong89 I should add a qualifier to my previous answer, and mention that I had been doing general karate training for several years before beginning serious kiko training. This previous training undoubtedly made it easier for to learn and practice kiko. Anyway, the traditional answer is 2-3 years.

  • wow i was unaware that there were karate guys who actually practice qigong, let alone demonstrate an efficient golden bell, where did you learn this?, i practise daoist golden bell training ie compressing the chi into the bones and sending energy down to the earth and then back up to repulse the incoming force.I am aware that there are different methods, how long have u trained?
