  • So how do i sound more powerful when singing? Do I just get of like..yell? Brett from Shinedown can sing so powerfully and I can't do it!

  • @folkmetalmusicman For starters, I'm a woman. I let you know this because to answer your question of my vocal styles that I want, you should look up The Agonist "And their eulogies sang me to sleep" and Otep "Bloodpigs, ghostflowers, and Warhead." And The Pretty Reckless songs.

Thanks, for your advice. Will it help if I sing everyday, all day long? Will that make me sound better faster? Coz I already do that, and I sound a bit better.

  • @REIREI29 What style of vocals are you trying to pull off? Dethmetal is all locked diaphragm singing. You don't use a lot of chest. If you're trying to do 80s arena rock (like the video states Tesla and Slaughter) then you need to do a lot of head and diaphragm. Country is mostly nose. Well not mostly, but it does sound like it.

But to answer your hard and fast question, lock up your diaphragm. Lock the lower chest.

  • is that breathing forme your diaphragm???

  • Want to be able to sing My chem songs and stuff:)

  • Wanna know something weird? I find that when I am sitting down, and leaning forward at the stomach, I sound better when I sang than I do when I am sitting or standing straight. Do you why that is? Is there some way I can apply that leaning forward technique while I am standing upright, withOUT actually leaning forward?

I hope you respond as soon as possible. This vid is kinda old.

  • @Casanovapojken

Wrong, every great vocalist had tried to emulate his her favorite singer.

  • You can base your style foundations like someone but not to copy entirely their style... thats simply stupid. If you have a deep voice you can adapt a little baritone feeling like Vedder's or if your voice is acute and a little raspy like you can harmonize a little as axle but by no means don't try to copy because you will sing worst than this guy.

  • my goal is to sing like M.Shadows

  • Thank you for this information! Good Job, I just want to be able to be able to croak out a few blues songs.
