And this car is running low 12's now, with some tuning

Look at the specs, its a 2002 engine, meaning a PI headed engine, the gears are 4:30's and its over 400lbs weight, the 3000 is race weight with driver.

@essentil08 The engine is the same as in 96 as far as fuel and wiring goes, it runs the 96 computer and harness with the 2 coil packs, and also the stock return fuel system. There is nothing special for the swap.

a guy told me to check out this video because a stock 96 mustang gt with 200lbs of weight reduction, slicks and 4.10s and runnin mid 12s! lmao i didnt think that gears,slicks and alil weight reductuion would drop 3 seconds! lol nice job.

@jfowler23 I think you are hearing another car in the background. The volume of that engine changes and lingers after he left the line. My Mustang sounds similar to this one and it also has a free flowing exhaust with uncatted offroad xpipe.

@Cuttincircles this video is giving me the inspiration to go with 4.30 gears in my own car. I've been doing the math and considering I was going to go with 4.10 gears anyway because of the AODE tranny in my car, it's only a drop of 3.33 mph at 2500 rpm
