I'm thinking about getting my private down at Flightgest. Can anyone tell how the instructors are? I know they have some nice shiny G1000 172s, but I'm really looking for some quality instruction.

Now, as soon as they load the SVS software on the Garmin 1000s . . .
The 182 is nice, especially on hot days!

roger thanks, i spoke to them today as they were taxiing in. Gonna head over there mon or tues.

FlightGest has 7TC, 98W, 27A, 75G (the only R model left), and they just got a new 172SP. They also now have a 182 Turbo with G1000 and air conditioning.

is flightgest the school that owns 7TC? what about 2298W?

Yes I have flown in one of their G1000's before! I flew right seat in 337TC.
Both Ken and Andy know me well up at FlightGest. Ken is my instructor, and Andy is just my pal. I spend a lot of time at RDU working and just "hanging around".
Flightgest has good instructors. If you are going to be quick with your time anyone will do. If you are going to take a while, hook up with Jesse Collum or Ken Menzie, they are retired and will be at Flightgest a while--i.e., they are not young bucks looking for the 1,000 enroute to heavy iron, plus, they have over 5,000 each and are superb instructors.

Thanks, the wind was good that night. The 206 is a nice bird to fly-wish I owned one! That was a rental.

Yep, had to get current on my night landings and decided to do in the 206 at FlightGest. Great plane! I wish I had the hours to rent it. I found out later that Richard had probably flown it as the seat was a little low which gave an odd presentation. FlightGest does good work and has some nice planes. Have you flown the 172 1000?
