Under the Pentastar wraps the week with a look at Chrysler Group's sales upswing for May; Jeep Grand Cherokee is chosen as top safety pick by Institute for Highway Safety; the Viper ACR-X debuts to media at track in Western Michigan.
Is it just me, or does Ralph Gilles do EVERYTHING?! Now he's designing a car, now he's the brand CEO, now he's racing a Viper. Look down, look again, the Viper is now Diamonds! He's on a horse.
Yeah, as a Dodge owner, I like having the ram on the front and back. So I'm not a fan of the idea of a separate brand and separate logo. But if that's the direction that Chrysler wants to go, may I make a suggestion on what to put as the new badge for Dodge? Bring back the Fratzog!!!
@AhJotahTube Exactly and its kinda sad to even call Chrysler a brand, they have 4 cars, PT Cruiser (who buys them anymore????) Sebring (Dodge Avenger) Town and Country, and 300C, its really sad to see it with so little options.
Good to see the sales numbers coming back from the dead, but quite frankly STUPID, soooo stupid to create this separate Ram brand. Every other company has trucks under the same brand as their cars (Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan). It makes no sense. What's wrong with only having 3 brands (Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep)!? 2 or 3 brands seems to work for a lot of other healthy automakers. I hope this idea is short-lived.
God i dont know about anyone else but im sad to see the Ram head leave the Dodge brand, think about it, you see a rams head you automatically think, dodge, you see a bowtie symbol, you think chevy, you see an blue oval, ford... for these companies, they havent changed for years, while this rams head has only been out for about 17 years, im sad to see it leave, and im sad to see one of the most distinct product slogan go as well, grab life by the horns.

Creating a Ram brand was stupid. Getting rid of Plymouth and then adding a brand makes no sense. Its a DODGE RAM not a RAM RAM.
