  • I've never been quoted in a vid before, so that was asweome. Thanks! Makes me wish I'd been a little more eloquent though, lol.

Anyway, two things: I really love that you compile a vid that discusses the responses to the topic you introduce. Really makes it feel like an interractive discussion, where everyone actually has a voice and is listened to, etc.

Secondly, the article "China's YouTube: How a New Kind of Chinese Pop Star Gets Made" by Damien Ma made me think of the topics you...

  • @faerietaleredux I'm really glad you like what I'm trying to do :) I found the article, I'm gonna have a look at it. I find China really interesting because it's so different from the west but it's becoming a bigger and bigger cultural influence on the rest of the world.

  • I really like that you compile response follow-up videos. I think it's a great tactic for further engaging an audience. Also, thanks for the mention! :D

  • @Nsnick88 That's what I'm trying to do, I'm glad you like it!

  • You should work up to a 2 video-per-week schedule, one response, one new topic.

  • @themefund I might think about that at some point in the future but right now I need the whole week to get a decent level of response. Also I'm quite busy at the moment and I don't want video making to become a chore but thanks for the advice :)

  • Very interesting video :) I don't have too much against auto-tuning, just depends on how they do it. Being creative with it, and creating your own sound is very cool!

  • ...brought up in this video. And I thought it was interesting to think about how people yearn for substance (sometimes in the form of gritty, unfabricated muic/talent), espeically when surrounded by polished made-by-a-factory tunes. I'm not sure the link will go through, but here it is:

  • @senselesslyuncommon I'm almost 50 so I guess you could say I'm old fashioned. No offense was meant by my question. I work with many people all over the world at my place of employment and British aren't among them. So since your asking for questions , I'm asking. In the USA it's the melting pot of the world. Our language and food are comingled with those that arrive here. I get to taste all kinds of home cooking from Egypt to Bosnia to Ethiopia and all other points. I've learnt so much. =)

  • @theycallmeluz ME TOO

  • @Qwazier3 That's a slightly odd question but tea would be "English tea" ie black leaf tea with milk. And cakes are all kinds of cakes that you'd find in a British cafe or tearoom. Crumpets are something you have for breakfast and to be honest I've never really "been for tea and cakes", I think that's a bit old fashioned.
