'Australia: Folk Songs And Bush Verse' is a collection of 200 tracks documenting the Australian tradition, both urban and rural. It took three years to compile and record.
For folklorist and singer Warren Fahey, who has spent 40 years collecting the songs and poems from hundreds of older Australians, most of them now dead, it's really been a lifetime's interest and passion.

While I agree that Warren's work is very important... I do not understand his fobbing off of our Country Bush Ballads . eg: Slim Dusty, Stan Coster, Norma O'Hara Murphy - et al.... these guys are writers of our history and traditions as well surely?
