A 2 mile long CN 120 passes thru Berry Mills on it's way to Moncton's Gordon yard. This is a rare daylight 120 because of a derailment on the Pelletier Sub. in Quebec of the prevous day's 120 made this one late. In 2008 CN combined two intermodal trains to one long intermodal train between Toronto/montreal to Moncton/Halifax ( usually 10000 to 12000 feet ) This train will be dropping about 50 cars at the intermodal terminal at Gordon Yard in Moncton.
Power: 2648 (C44-9W), 2596 (C44-9W), 5667 (SD75I) hauling 172 cars.

  • I was on my way to PEI..I stopped in at Moncton, but left around 9am...guess I should have stayed longer. I missed two 120's about an hour or so apart from each other! Oh well. Nice catch!
