very true. ive been stung by jelly fish on the face on the chest and on my leg, and every time it feels like little throns hitting my like and then it stings like HELL

they dont bite or shock, they sting. they have barbs inside tiny venom sacks on their tentacles, and when you or a fish that hasnt evolved a defense from them brushes against the sack it bursts and the barb hooks you and then the venom begins to work... it can blister you badly and even kill you if you arent careful.
