  • I still think Edberg put up to a good match, very intense.. Was this the ending of his career? Tnx for upload. :)

  • both players retired at the end of 96.

  • Krickstein wasn't just a "normal player." The guy was top 10 in the world. Made the semis of the Australian Open and US OPEN. Also, he had many wins over the course of his career against top 10 players. Thats not "normal." That's not legendary, but for a normal person thats one hell of a career at the highest level of your sport.

  • krickstein is one of the few players who can say he beat andre agassi at the us open, not many players can say that.

  • Nothing "normal" about this American hero at all, starting with the very beginning of his career. Krickstein set a record with his first tournament win, youngest to win a main tour event (Tel Aviv, 1984, at 16 yrs. 2 mos.), that will NEVER be broken.

He was a star of U.S. Davis Cup. At a time when some Americans either refused to play or attached conditions to their participation, Aaron was always willing to play for his country.

Also, Aaron made it to #6 in the world despite injuries.

  • aaron kirckstein was a good player, but not one of the greatest american tennis ones.............a 'normal' player........

  • Thanks for posting. One of King Aaron's finest hours!

  • No need for the vitriolic reply. I mean when returning serve and your playing a baseliner, you set up your point from the baseline, then its either a forehand deep or a sliced backhand deep, then the approach to the net. The reason Edberg doesn't win the baseline rallies is because he couldn't work the point so as to be able to hit an approach shot and come in. Krickstein's shots were too deep and there wasnt enough short balls for Edberg to come in on.

  • I hope u know what r u talking about, this peoople dont need to camp on baseline to aproach. hence the Serve and Volley.
