Devils River playing a cover of All Along The Watchtower Live.
A crazy afternoon session recording 18 songs on a Zoom R24 and some web cams. Only one cam didn't give up the ghost but we made the most of the footage we did get.

  • Hi guys, always good to go on stage and just do it. Hats off for this. But i can see why Yakubi was writing. Wouldn't take it soo negative Jimi is probably the hardest to cover and if you can't stand different opinions always ask mom ;-) or don't publish it then. Cheers.

This is our version of a Bob Dylan song in the Hendrix blues style, we're not trying to copy anyone and we're here for fun not for wannabee music critics to put rather shoddy comments on.

Yeah, we can delete comments but prefer to be adult about it - but if someone gives an opinion expect to get one back - its called free speech. Too many people watching Pop Idol thinking they know it all. If we want to answer back with our own opinion we will do, understand?

  • @devilsriveruk sure Dude...like i've said until now having an opinion is free, whether you like it or not. Nothing to do with pop idol, a cover will always be compared by the audience...makes sense?

But thanks for reply. Rock on.

If I'm not keen on someone's music I just move on. Music is about positive energy and fun.

If an audience wants to make a comparison that's their business. If they choose to make a comment thats our business as a dialogue has been opened.

Our opinion of that other guys review was that it was a poor review but you were saying we had no right to respond because we disagreed with him, which of course is nonsense, we'll always respond - whether you like it or not - do you get it yet?

  • 4/10 not to good. You practice to seldom. You not really feel this music, but You are on a good way to become a good band some day

  • @Yakub87

Thanks for the feedback Yak. 3/10 for the review - not too good.

You don't really feel our love for music, but you're well on the way to making a good music critic one day.

YES, you made the point there, i think the same about music and i see what YOU mean.

I shouldn't have posted before listening to more of your music.

Apart from all of this i just meant that playing Hendrix is a world of it's own to me, that's all i wanted to say, that wasn't meant negative. (I've tried it and i really suck)

Meanwhile i was watching your channel and i liked your stuff, good energy and really great vocals too.

    Cheers.

  • Jeez, has that guy heard some of JH's live stuff? Everyone's a fricken music critic these days! Enjoy the love!

  • Great cover John!!!!!!!!!
