@YiJustin558 washington dc still isn't on a faultline. The nearest faultline is the Appalachian mountain chain. So, although it is possible that earthquakes on that faultline will affect DC, DC is not going to rip apart as bystanders helplessly watch half of it fall into the sea. DC cannot be the epicenter of an earthquake, although the age of the rocks it is built on does mean that any earthquakes on the east coast travel pretty far.

@ThisIsMyDeen consequently a 5.9 struck on August 23rd, 2011...... I was 15 miles from D.C my house started making these "whale noises" as if it was going to collapse.....
