MANNY HITS #500!!!

On May 31, 2008 Manny Ramirez stepped up to the plate at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and blasted his 500th career homerun. I had the genious idea of recording every pitch of the game to him on my crappy little camera phone (yes I admit it) and with 2 outs in the top of the 7th and no one on base, Manny took the first pitch from Chad Bradford in to the right-centerfield bleachers for #500. This gave Boston a 5-3 lead and they ended up winning the game 6-3.
Congratulations, Sox fans.
I am not a Red Sox fan or even a Manny fan, but I cheered for him when he hit this ball. 500 homeruns is pretty amazing and I was happy to be there and witness this history.

NOTES:
*Manny is the second player to his his 500th career homerun in Camden Yards. The other was Eddie Murray back in 1996.

**Ramirez is the third player to hit #500 in a Red Sox uniform. The other two were Jimmie Foxx and Ted Williams.

***Manny hit this ball after misplaying two balls in the outfield that should have been cought.

****Ramirez hit this one off of Bradford, who came in to face him and barely ever gives up homeruns.

although i am not an orioles fan, i think the orioles are a good team that doesnt have 200 mil to waste on stiffs like the yankees. if the orioles had a few better pitchers, they would be great. markakis is one of my favorites, and he is great. i hope they get burnett or another good pitcher and have a good season. they shouldve kept bedard

torn up red sox suck - ASS! sadly i got 7

decks of MLB cards and i got mostly red sox and yakee cards! i had 12 red sox cards and

7 yankee cards. ONE orioles card!!!!
