Contra: Shattered Soldier - Final Stage (S Rank)

The final stage of Contra: Shattered Soldier done on Normal difficulty. One thing my fiance pointed out, which I found to be very astute and intriguing, is that the boss' subsequent forms are devolved forms of complex life. It goes from man, to amphibian, to invertebrate, to cell, to... not quite sure. Maybe a uterus or something? :3

@nakallo The arc bombs can't always reach him, so it's more practical to use the charged flamethrower since it can reach at long ranges.

If you're referring to when he tries to drag you into the flame, he dies on his own and you don't even have to fire one shot. :P

@nakallo Oh, I see what you mean. While theoretically that's true, the flamethrower continuously destroys the cells, so you can concentrate fire a lot more, whereas with grenades, they deal more damage per shot, but you have to retreat a lot more.
