Wow, this was when she was at the peak of popularity, after having released like 6 or 7 number one albums in a row. You can just tell the crowd adores her.
And it is SO obvious that she is singing live. I've listened to the "Rainbow" album a billion times, and the second she starts, you can tell it is not the studio version. It's beyond clear people. Plus there are subtle differences in the notes and phrasing throughout.

she lipped parts of it almost all performances for TV are particially lipped especially ones taped early in the morning as the ones for the Today Show Good Morning America the Early Show & Fox & Friends are. she doesn't have Anything to prooove her career speaks for itself

mariah obviously breathes more often in between lines...try playing the recorded version and this together and you'll see. this is so live!
