This is a talk that I gave at ToorCon 13. I did not have enough time to go into detail so it should be used as a primer about the GSM back-end and some basics about it security.

why do you show hackers backdoors ,and if you are a hacker , like you try to act in your speech , by saying whe ,, you are not one of whe ,ok

I am sorry you feel this way. This talk does not discuss backdoors in the GSM network, or any cellular network. If I had more time I would go into detail of more security flaws with GSM network, but I did not.

This talk was to get others interested in GSM networks, and some basic basics of the GSM backend and the security behind it.

You are correct I did not invent the 3GPP Phase 2+ GSM spec, but I did take the info from there and explained it so others can get interested in understanding cellular phone networks and realize how insecure they really are. I also took from my personal experience and my own research to see how these networks where really implemented and some of the lack of security behind them.

Also I would not call these people stupid; many of them are most likely smarter than me. We all have our areas in which we focus in, the audience came there to be informed and to have some questions answered (as I did after my talk to many).

I do not understand your anger with this talk, the only thing I would really complain about was that I did not have enough time to go into everything that I wanted too.

I ask you why not share information of this sort. It is open to everyone and more people need to be informed about the insecurities in the devices and the network that they put so much trust in.

simple there is no restriction ,, if you know the right key , and the key of every encryptions , depend on his sum ,, but look at the root of sum and everbody starts from one plus one and two plus two,, whe al use the same calculations , systems in our brain , you onley have slower systems , cant sum ,, and faster ones , like me , human calculator, human Kirandom scanner ,,LOL

it means that when you walk around with your bank card , or transportation card ,, or ID card , you wil be RFIDD tagged everwhere you come , gett the picture ,

in GSM the also IMPLEMENT those kind of things ,, if they close the card , gov wil make a profit of this , in trying to control the world ,, i know a lot of more of this kind of things , and i know they use GSM also for that kind of things , uploading software on ADMIN simcard acces , you don,t have butt the have acces you don,t wan,t

i am a hacker ,,for own use onley hacker LOL,, i like your speach butt because of this kind of speaches we wil get more restriction on cloning and your own privacy , do you know 90% of bank cards here are implemented wit RFID , people don,t know , here in europe Holland whe have OVchip card ,, it is a transportation card for buss and train , you cant buy normal tickets any more , also tourist , read second reaction
