Nice job. I'm going to do the exact thing with my 1997 Rialta QD model; looks very similar to yours. Thanks for the idea! Are you using a DC to AC converter to run the LED HDTV? If so, where is that located? Or are you using another method to power the TV? Are you using the stock Rialta antenna and just the back-to-back connector from the coax cable (as you indicated)?

Thanks, ,very important factor when I choose HD TV:1. LED very little power needed 23" only 25W 2. adaptor converts 110V to 12V, we plug directly to 12V so that wouldn't waste power while converting current I use old plug from vedio player (which removed). it ran hours without shore line nor generator on.
Stock Rialta Antenna next to 12V power (need to turn on power ampf), yes B2B coax. Vizio takes HDMI, RGB, Coax, USB. it's my lap top monitor too, wait to buy Blue ray when price settle down.
