Umm, no you don't really. 90's music is mostly really crappy, this song was just one of the very few highlights of this era. The majority of the "artists" have absolutely nothing on those of the mid-late 1960's, 70's, and early-mid 1980's. NOTHING!

What was considered exceptional in the 1990's (as well as today) would have been considered unmusical, substandard trash during those 20 glorious years from 1967-1987.

by the way, rap and alt. rock (both I detest greatly) got big in the 1980s (it continued thru the 90s). At least in the 90s there were other types of music to listen too as well like dance and latin.
