God needed a saxophone player. He took the best one.

Thanks everyone for loving my brother! This song has been playing over and over in my mind. I lose it at the end, where Bruce cries out the moaning sound. It's how I feel each time I hear it. As a retired professor of music and saxophonist, I've tried to mimic my brother's sound, yet can not do it. But wait until you hear my son, Jake Clemons, play. It's almost like Clarence reincarnated.

I'll miss Clarence when I see Bruce again. Just best sax player I ever heard. Right through to my soul he reached w his saxophone. - you're missed but never be forgotten.

I heard Jake last night with Bruce in Pittsburgh, it's almost eerie how much he sounds like Clarence. You have a very talented son, sir.

Thanks for the comment on my brother, Clarence. However, Jake is not his son, but his nephew. Jake is my son and I am very proud of him. I praise God for Bruce allowing Jake to be in the E Street Band. Hopefully and prayerfully, he will not only carry on the tradition of my brother, but also establish his own persona in the entertainment world. He is a wonderful son. My wife and I are proud parents of 5 great children. Jake is next to our youngest who is an outstanding music educator.

Happy Birthday, Big Man. He would have been 70 today. I suppose someone had to be the first of the band to die, and he was the oldest... but it's still a loss.
