I'm from Sydney AUS but I hope to buy a beemer one day from you guys. I'll probably end up stateside through chance and I will then come and say hi. I always follow you stories on the net also, I don't know why but I have this affinity with San Jose BMW???

Nbwinn... you're correct that it would reduce the dirty air and most likely increase speed, but unfortunatley these holes can not be covered and be able to legally run for a Production class record as it did. My guess is that these holes reduce a significant amount of bufffeting when in a drafting position on the street (ie: on the highway behind or passing a semi truck) and also allow airflow to the rider.

They need to cover up the gaps in the screen. I know they are there to reduce the pressure behind the screen but with them covered up you can gain up to 4 mph
Is it sill considered 'bone stock' when you have Power commander ?

@glyboual The bike is considered Production class and this allows very limited alterations. So yes, the bike is within the FIM/AMA guidelines of Production or stock.
