Chained Scopes!! awesome. here i was writing functions that chained each other instead. But would you not lose performance if you had a long list of scopes that are basicaly loaded everytime the model is invoked as opposed to the need basis of a method call?

hm was just looking more deeply into rails and realized that the symfony PHP framework i work his has alot of stuff already working very well like a plugin system and form framework which rails lacks. I dont want to argue Rails vs PHP but it seems the huge PHP community has closed the gap if not overtaken rails with Symfony and Zend.

Formtastic should be integrated into Rails 3.1.
It's way easier to use than the current form helper methods.
