This is The Cumberland Trio's live video performance of a very unique medley of the Beach Boys' Sloop John B and Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville from their reunion concert Back Where We Began at the historic Bijou Theatre Center in Knoxville, TN, recorded live on Sept 24, 2004. This great folk group from the '60s folk era has reunited after 40 years and are just incredible. Just watch. The Trio's DVD and double CD of this live 2 1/2 hour concert are available at www.cdbaby.com, type cumberland trio in the search box. ENJOY this special medley!!!!

  • Love bluegrass keep it alive

  • Gospel Bluegrass has always been awesome. I still believe most bluegrass players are some of the best musicians around.

  • That's a great rendition.

  • I never knew the chords for both were that similar...this is really cool

  • Sloop John B is much older then the Beach Boys. It was a West Indies song from the early 20th Century and was been recorded by a number of performers before the Beach Boy, including the Weavers in the 1950s.

    Great Vid. Thanks for posting!

  • What a great cover! Wilson & Buffett will be proud of this if they ever watch it!

  • This is just a great medley!! Well done & thanks guys!!
