This is the majority of the famed Bealach na Ba (gaelic for 'Pass of the Cattle') into Applecross in the HIghlands of Scotland. Not the best surface or the widest tarmac, but it is one of the most stunning roads in the country - with more in common with an Apline pass than a Scottish B road!
Here's a quick snippet from Wikipedia;
"The road is one of few in the Scottish Highlands that is engineered similarly to roads through the great mountain passes in the Alps, with very tight hairpin bends that switch back and forth up the hillside and gradients that approach 20%. It boasts the greatest ascent of any road climb in the UK, rising from sea level at Applecross to 626 metres (2,054 ft), and is the third highest road in Scotland. The name is from the Gaelic for Pass of the Cattle, as it was historically used as a drovers' road."

Tis a wonderful place and Applecross is so tranquill when the wind's not blowing.
The roads really do demand respect though.
I went over the pass on my Thundercat and it was hard work in the wet!
I tell you what though, I wouldn't want to come down the bugger the other way lol, the roads as you say aren't that well surfaced and a badly timed faceplant can spoil a trip somewhat,

Hi Stu, Went over there in about 1981 with the GoldWing O.C. Absolutely breathtaking.Some German and French riders with us thought it was better than Switzerland. I tend to agree. I wonder if the Enfield would get over it??? Thanks for posting it's a real reminder.Notwocdivad.
