Albino African Claw-Toed Frog in community fish tank

55 gallon tank

My albino claw-toed frog, a Pink Gourami, a Blue Paradise Gourami, some Tetras, and a spotted Catfish... these are the survivors after my buddy the "Pool Guy" decided to "shock" the tank to kill the algae, while i was asleep, and in turn also killed the majority of my fishies..... but man that water was clear when i woke up..

i have since moved the fish to my son's 10 gallon goldfish tank, while i cleaned and replaced the water and filters in this one.... they have been back in this tank for about a week now

the frog was a few bucks at super-walmart pet dept.... prolly like 6 bucks maybe... could have been less

what do you feed the frog

and would it eat my black kuhli loach (which looks bacially like a worm)

well, it may eat it... guess it depends on the size of the loach and the size of the frog....

frogs do love worms

i feed it shrimp pellets, it will eat leftover fish flakes.. also i will buy ghost shrimp and let her eat them... and when it rains, ill get slugs or worms from the yard and feed her them

Why doesnt it eat those lil fish? They are small enough arent they?

Do you stll have your clawed frog?...I have one that is still small...my cousin got hers at the same time and hers is twice the size of mine...maybe it is cause mine hides all the time...Yours didnt eat your tetras?

lol, just so you know.... as soon as that frrog gets a little gigger..... kiss your tetras good bye! anything small enough to fit in his mouth will become lunch.

When my african clawed frog was about 6 months old he ate both of my 3 inch bala sharks. At first i didnt think he had done it but the second bala shark I found half hanging out of his mouth and was gone within a an hour or so. they were twice his size. He is now alone in 10 gal because he keeps eating his tank mates. lol I would like to find a female but I worry he would eat her

I have one but it appears to be blind -- has little pink eyes. I also got it from Wal Mart. It eats pinky frozen mice.
